Very beautiful course, the  Aiglun’s canyon is  one of the most watery canyons of this area.

Practicable only during summer, this canyon has advantage of never being  dry.

Run of river,  you will discover many jumps and small abseil  inside long  zone of swimming  in the  water current.

The wild and imposing landscape, enclosed between high walls, will  wonder you.

 The Aiglun’s canyon  is a sporting canyon addressing to sports persons at ease in water.

Description of the canyoning activity - Canyon d'Aiglun

The meeting point  with your qualified instructor will be on the car park of the canyon  (on the Aiglun’s bridge)  located at 50 minutes drives from Castellane.

You will receive  a  neoprene suit,  a helmet and a harness, and your monitor will organize  cars shuttle   with the participants in order to go to the beginning of the course in the village of Sallagriffon.

The aventure will start  by a approach walk of approximately 50 minutes  to reach the part of the river where the canyon starts.

After having dressed  your equipment, your  instructor will  explane  you  the safety instructions concerning the practice of the canyoning.

Then  you will  find during four hours, in the currents of the Esteron river, several zones of swimming, many jumps and two small abseil  of  eight meters.

You  will also take the time to have picnic in the middle of the canyon, in a two hundred height meters rock circus.

At the end of the course, there will remain you only  ten short minutes  to arrive at the carpark.

Thereafter,  everyone will get in our minibus which will bring you back to your vehicles.

How to come:

  • From CASTELLANE (04120 - Alpes-de-Haute-Provence): Take the direction of GRASSE on the D4085. Drive 10 km on this road and turn left towards PEYROULES / LA BATIE. Pass PEYROULES then 2 km after, turn left on the D2211 direction SAINT AUBAN / LA FOUX. Cross the villages of LA FOUX and LES LATTES. About 5/10 minutes after LES LATTES and before SAINT AUBAN, take on the right the D5 towards AIGLUN / LE MAS. Cross the MAS and you will arrive on a bridge (spanning the river ESTERON) located between 2 tunnels before the village of AIGLUN. The appointment is located on the parking at the bridge. AIGLUN 06910 (ATTENTION, there is another AIGLUN in the department 04 !!!). Count 1 hour of journey.
  • From MARSEILLE (13000 - Bouches-du-Rhône): Join the A8 motorway towards NICE. Pass BRIGNOLES, THE MUY, CANNES. After CAGNE S / MER, take exit 51.1 direction DIGNE. After SAINT-MARTIN-DU-VAR, turn left on D17 towards GILETTE. Stay on this road, cross ROQUESTERON. 2 km after ROQUESTERON, turn left (in a hairpin) direction "AIGLUN / LE MAS" (if you miss, you will arrive at the village of SIGALE) Cross the village of AIGLUN. The rendez-vous point is on the first bridge between 2 tunnels that you will cross at the exit of the village, on the ESTERON river. Count between 3h15 and 3h30 of journey.
  • From NICE  (06000 - Alpes-Maritmes): Join N202 to St MARTIN DU VAR (by ST LAURENT DU VAR). After SAINT-MARTIN-DU-VAR, turn left on D17 towards GILETTE. Stay on this road, cross ROQUESTERON. 2 km after ROQUESTERON, turn left (in a hairpin) direction "AIGLUN / LE MAS" (if you miss, you will arrive at the village of SIGALE) Cross the village of AIGLUN. The rendez-vous point is on the first bridge between 2 tunnels that you will cross at the exit of the village, on the ESTERON river. AIGLUN 06910 (ATTENTION, there is another AIGLUN in the department 04 !!!). Count around 1h45 of road.
  • From GRASSE (06130 - Alpes-Maritmes): Take the D6085 road towards DIGNE / CASTELLANE. At the village of LOGIS-DU-PIN, at the roundabout follow direction DIGNE / CASTELLANE, then turn right towards SAINT AUBAN D2211. Cross LA FOUX, and LES LATTES on the D2211. Before the village of SAINT AUBAN, turn right on the D5 direction LE MAS / AIGLUN (at the campsite "La pinatelle"). Cross the MAS and you will arrive on a bridge (spanning the river ESTERON) located between 2 tunnels before the village of AIGLUN. The appointment is located on the parking at the bridge. AIGLUN 06910 (ATTENTION, there is another AIGLUN in the department 04 !!!). Allow about 1 hour and 50 minutes.
