All the obstacles being optional, this canyon is thus a perfect place of discovery, accessible to all from 10 years old. However, ability to swim and to put one's head under the water are necessary to be able to cross the basin, out of water all the year.
The slot and well carved geological formation in this canyon is of extraordinary beauty. This 100% natural place in the Alpes de haute Provence with single setting will amaze you.

Description of the canyoning activity - Canyon du Haut Jabron
The meeting point with your qualified instructor will be on the carpark of the canyon located at a 20- min driving (10km) from Castellane.
After having received your personal equipment (helmet, harness, neoprene suit), you will follow your monitor on a 35-minutes approach walk , along a pretty footpath.
Once at the beginning of the canyon, you will put on your neoprene suit, harness and helmet.
Your monitor will give you all the instructions to practise canyoning in full safety
You will find many 4-meter high jumps that can be avoided, two 4 and 6-meter slides and one optional abseil at the end of the course.
At the end of the adventure, you will take your equipment off and walk back during 45 minutes to reach the carpark.

How to come:
- From CASTELLANE (04120 - Alpes-de-Haute-Provence) : In CASTELLANE, follow the direction GRASSE on the road D6085. Cross the village of LA GARDE and, after the pass « Col de Luens », the road go down and further when the road go straight on you will find a intersection. You will see a road going to PEYROULES on the left, take the opposite direction : turn on your right side. This road is between a closed hostel « L'HOTEL DES CHASSEURS » and a car park « CHEMIN DU CLOUTAS ». Drive straight on (about 1km) on this road and park your car on a carpark on the left side of the road. It take 20 minutes from CASTELLANE to arrive to the carpark.
- From MARSEILLE (13000 - Bouches-du-Rhône) : Join the hightway A8 direction NICE. After BRIGNOLES, LE LUC take the exit 36 direction DRAGUIGNAN . Follow the direction DRAGUIGNAN on th road D1555 then take the road D54 direction DIGNE-LES-BAINS. After FIGANIERES reach the road D955 (direction DIGNE) Pass near MONTFERRAT. Then cross COMPS S/ARTUBY. WARNING : in COMPS SUR ARTUBY, follow the road D21 (direction DIGNE) ! Don't take the road on the left to CASTELLANE. You will arrive in the village LOGIS-DU-PIN and at the roundabout follow the direction CASTELLANE on the road D6085. Drive like 10 to 15 minutes. You will see on your left the pannel CHATEAUVIEUX/LA MARTE (don't go on your left, stay on the main road D0685 direction DIGNE). Less than1km after that, you will find the road D452 direction PEYROULES/LA BATIE on the right side. Don't turn on the right side but turn on the road on the left side (in front of the road D452 PEYROULES/LA BATIE). This road is between a closed hostel « HOTEL DES CHASSEURS » and a car park « CHEMIN DU CLOUTAS » Drive straight on about 1km on this road and park your car on the left. It take 3hours to arrive on the carpark.
- From NICE (06000 - Alpes-Maritmes) : Reach the highway A8 in the direction of MARSEILLE/ CANNES. Take the exit 48 CAGNES SUR MER / VENCE. In CAGNES SUR MER follow the direction LA COLLE SUR LOUP on the D6 road. Then go to GREOLIERES by the D6 and D3 road. In GREOLIERES follow the direction of THORENC on the road D2. Cross THORENC, VALDEROURE and MALAMAIRE. Then turn on the left on the road D2211 direction RD6085. When you arrive on the road N85 at the roundabout, turn on the right direction DIGNE / CASTELLANE. Drive like 10 to 15 minutes. You will see on your left the pannel CHATEAUVIEUX/LA MARTE (don't go on your left, stay on the main road D0685 direction DIGNE). Less than1km after that, you will find the road D452 direction PEYROULES/LA BATIE on the right side. Don't turn on the right side but turn on the road on the left side (in front of the road D452 PEYROULES/LA BATIE). This road is between a closed hostel « HOTEL DES CHASSEURS » and a car park « CHEMIN DU CLOUTAS » Drive straight on about 1km on this road and park your car on the left. It take 1h50 to arrive on the carpark.
- From GRASSE (06130 - Alpes-Maritmes) : Follow the direction DIGNE-LES-BAINS and take the road D6085. Cross the villages of ST VALLIER DE THIERS and ESCRAGNOLLES. Then you will arrive in the village of LE LOGIS DU PIN. Continue straight on on the road D6085 direction DIGNE-LES-BAINS / CASTELLANE. Drive like 10 to 15 minutes. You will see on your left the pannel CHATEAUVIEUX/LA MARTE (don't go on your left, stay on the main road D0685 direction DIGNE). Less than1km after that, you will find the road D452 direction PEYROULES/LA BATIE on the right side. Don't turn on the right side but turn on the road on the left side (in front of the road D452 PEYROULES/LA BATIE). This road is between a closed hostel « HOTEL DES CHASSEURS » and a car park « CHEMIN DU CLOUTAS » Drive straight on about 1km on this road and park your car on the left. It take 1h30 to arrive on the carpark.
